Cascade Communications, specialists in property, planning and the built environment, has appointed Lord Kerslake and Sir Steve Bullock to its new Advisory Group.

The Advisory Group will deliver senior counsel and thought leadership. Following the General Election and the now stable political environment, clients are looking to influence policy and build trust between local authorities, public sector bodies and developers.

The Group will focus on developments within the sector and deliver strategic advice to Cascade’s private and public sector clients. It will be chaired by Cascade Founder and Managing Director Emma Waterfall.

Lord Kerslake said:

“Delivering high quality, well designed housing and development is vital for the UK. The property sector is a key element within the UK economy, and it is essential that its growth delivers the places where people want to live, work, and can afford in the 21st century. I am excited to be working with Cascade who has advised on some of the iconic regeneration projects of the last ten years.”

Sir Steve Bullock said:

“Addressing the housing crisis in the UK must be a priority for all elected representatives. I am looking forward to working with Cascade and their clients from across the built environment sector. We all need to understand how to work together to meet the housing needs of all parts of the UK’s diverse and young communities.”

Cascade Founder and Managing Director, Emma Waterfall, said:

“Lord Kerslake and Sir Steve Bullock bring a wealth of experience and knowledge that will provide invaluable insight for our clients, our fast-growing business, and the sector more broadly. The focus of Cascade’s Advisory Group will be on how our clients can better work with government at all levels to build meaningful relationships that help unlock the delivery of new homes, better town centres and infrastructure.”
