Strategic advice on planning and construction for The Knightsbridge Estate, a prominent and historic block surrounded by close residential neighbours and high-footfall areas in one of London’s most affluent locations.
Cascade has been retained by Chelsfield since 2014 to provide political and community engagement for the redevelopment of The Knightsbridge Estate. This will transform the site, with seven flagship retail stores, 66,000 sq ft of Grade A offices, 33 rental apartments, and a new step-free access to Knightsbridge tube.
Over the last six years, Cascade has led all community and political engagement in support of planning applications, resulting in planning approval and fewer than ten local objections.
We successfully managed sensitive briefings with the Knightsbridge Association regarding the treatment and restoration of the historic façade, as well as overseeing Construction Traffic Management Plan consultations with neighbours, residents’ groups, Harrods and the planning committee, resulting in approval.
Through engagement with new ward councillors, we mitigated the impact of political change, by bringing them onboard through site visits, community briefings and ongoing relationship building.
